CA Global: Port Infrastructure (Africa Positions) has a client looking for an experienced Port Planner/Scheduler. This position will be based in Liberia.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of planning work.
- Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting the port.
- Candidate would need to estimate staffing needs and oversee work assignments of technicians and/or other Planners.
- Must review and evaluates environmental impact reports, and recommend changes to overall project plan as appropriate.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements:
- Candidates should hold a tertiary qualification in engineering, preferably in port planning
- The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years experience in port planning and port activities.
- Possess understanding of planning principles, maritime structures and related disciplines.
- Professional membership to an engineering body will be advantageous
