Hot Job: Site Superintendent (Marine Works/Building and Construction) - Morocco

CA Global: Construction and Engineering (Port Infrastructure) has a client looking for a Marine Works Site Superintendent with experience in Marine Building Projects. This position will be based in Morocco.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and lead a group of workers, crane operators and divers.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the placement of prefabricated concrete blocks by cranes operating from elevated platforms or barges.
  • Responsible for the operation of the barge, following the instructions received by the Project Manager.
  • Candidates must communicate well with the Project Manager and report daily on the progress of works.
  • Responsible for the security on board the barge,
  • Responsible for ‘Toolbox Talks´, security exercises and ‘Pre Task Briefings´.
  • Must ensure that all personnel on board are aware of security and environmental rules. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in Marine Works Construction (quay walls, jetties etc)
  • Tertiary degree/certificate in Offshore and/or Maritime Operations.
  • At least 6 - 8 years of experience within marine construction projects.
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Fluency in French is a must
  • Knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous
  • You are willing to work abroad.

  1. Site Superintendent in shipbuilding is not a game. Such difficult job requires an experienced, specialized expert who can perform this task with the help of machines efficiently.
