Hot Job: Materials Handling Engineer (Commissioning/Bulk Handling Equipment/Stackers) - Liberia

CA Global: Engineering and Construction (Africa Positions) has a client who is URGENTLY looking for a Materials Handling Engineer with experience in commissioning bulk handling equipment. The project will be based in Liberia.
  
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the commissioning of loading, unloading and storage equipment in the port.
  • Execute final activities related to the control of ore unloading to ensure that the ore shall be properly received, stacked and handled in the storage yard.
  • Monitor and control the operation of reclaimers, stackers, belt conveyors and ship loaders in order to ensure their proper functioning.
  • Improve port operation processes in order to ensure better port performance and availability rates.
  • Ensure the optimization of ship docking, loading and meet the scheduled timeframe for releasing the ship. 
  • Ensure environment-related norms and procedures are complied with for the protection of the environment. 
  • The health and safety of in-house and outsourced teams shall be secured through effective preventive and corrective actions.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in the commissioning of bulk handling equipment.
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience.
  • A tertiary education in engineering or logistics
  • Good command of the English language
