Hot Job: Managing Director (Real Estate/Building/Residential) - Nigeria

CA Global: Engineering and Construction (Building Projects) has a client looking to fill the position of Managing Director. This individual would have to identify, develop and direct the implementation of the Company’s strategy while also planning and directing the Company’s activities to achieve stated/agreed targets and standards for financial performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence. The individual would be required to maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in the Company’s markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, sub-contractors, partners and regulatory/official bodies. This position will be based in Nigeria.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, develop and direct the implementation of short, medium and long-term business strategies, action plans and targets in line with the defined vision, mission and objectives of the organization;
  • Liaise with the Project Development & Control Department so as to understand the progress of the works performed and to address potential delays;
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Marketing & Corporate Affairs Department, in order to ensure that sales performance is according to plan and to address any set-back as necessary to meet budgeted sale forecast;
  • Oversee the preparation of the financial budget and coordinate and analyze with the Finance Department the financial performance, financial viability and cost structure of the organization;
  • Oversee the recruitment process and approve the admission of top management employees. Moreover, address complaints and resolve problems with the assistance and guidance of the Human Resources & Administration Department;
  • Negotiate best outcomes for all issues involving residents, staff and government agencies;
  • Participate in policy development/implementation to best meet property needs;
  • Work with legal consultants in order to develop site leases and other contract documents required;
  • Responsible for reviewing, evaluating, initiating, and negotiating real estate transactions with various entities
  • Implement policies and procedures regarding the administration of real estate properties and leases;
  • Implement and manage various programs established by the company to achieve objectives;
  • Establish and maintain productive relationship within and outside of the organization;
  • Report to the Board of Directors on organizational plans and performance;
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of engineering
  • MBA is a must.
  • At least 10 years of consulting and contracting experience and at least 8 years of real estate experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership, coaching and management skills and experience;
  • Ability to Multi-task and to address issues with appropriate urgency, leads with effective energy to facilitate timely results
  • Excellent managerial, project management, communication and analytical skills
