DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and become familiar with the facilities and equipment of the plant
- Participate in the transfer of facilities to the client operations
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation for the project
- validate the list of outstanding issues and associated actions
- Participate in and support in terms of any proposed engineering works such as new engineering and / or structural steel which will be entrusted to the Engineering Department and Regulatory Compliance
- Participate in the preparation and execution of major maintenance works
- Periodically check compliance with HSE requirements
- Assist the Health and Safety Department to improve the safety of staff at the facility level
- Work closely with Purchasing and Procurement Department for the preparation of tenders, assessment of tenders and selection of suppliers / businesses
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience having worked as a civil engineer
- 5 to 10 years professional experience.
- Good experience having worked on structural steel projects
- Proven experience writing specifications and monitoring of subcontractors.
- Candidates must be fluent in both English and French.
- High standards of discipline and organization.
